Wanstead Flats Playing Fields are situated in the southern area
of Epping Forest, near to Wanstead, Leytonstone High Road, Forest
Gate or Manor Park underground or mainline rail stations.
Throughout the year, Wanstead Flats is shared between footballers,
model flying clubs, cyclists, horse riders, dog-walkers, joggers
and families picnicking and enjoying Alexandra Lake.

Football season
One hundred and fifty acres of land is set aside for organised
sport, with approximately 60 football pitches suitable for mini
soccer, small-sided, junior and adult football.
Season dates: 4th September 2010 – 24 April
2011
Season length: 32 weeks (excluding Christmas / New
Year)

signed agreements to the relevant Hire Terms and
Conditions.

Wanstead Flats Integrated Site Plan
Wanstead Flats is host to Acid Grassland, Flora and nesting
Skylark. Following a public consultation, we have produced a five
year plan for Wanstead Flats.
