Athlone House Gardens
Visit the newest addition to Hampstead Heath, Athlone House
Gardens. Enter the Heath from Hampstead Lane, nearly opposite
Bishopswood Road. Pass through the Orchard and walk down the left
hand side of Cohen's Fields. Turn left through the gap in the
hedge, over the stream and then look out for the gated entrance on
your left. Its quite well hidden away, but well worth
exploring.
Reptile survey
LEHART (the London, Essex and Hertfordshire Amphibian &
Reptile Trust) are surveying our population of rare grass snakes to
help us work out how best to conserve them. If you have seen a
snake (or any other reptile) on Hampstead Heath, please tell
us more about it by either filling in our
online wildlife sightings form or by
downloading and filling in the form below, then posting
it to:

Events
A full events programme takes place on Hampstead Heath throughout
the year and includes music concerts, environmental
activities, fun fairs, fishing taster sessions and
children’s summer entertainments. Regular guided walks, wildlife
watches and sports events are also organised.
