Climate change is putting up new challenges for Open Spaces
Management, with extreme weather events becoming more likely,
including heat waves as well as storm events. Trees and other
plants can suffer if the ground is too wet during winters or if
there is not enough water in the summer. Adapting skills and
management techniques to the changing climate is important in
ensuring that green spaces can continue to thrive.
