Give up smoking

Hands breaking free of a chain made of cigarettes

Few people who have successfully quit smoking can say they did it on their own.  Getting help to quit is the best way to help ensure success and NHS City and Hackney is here to help any City resident or worker who is ready to quit.

Drop-in clinics

Free Stop Smoking drop-in clinics are held in the City each week:

  • Guildhall, North Wing reception, EC2P 2EJ  -  every Wednesday from 11.30am to 2pm
  • Bart's Hospital, West Smithfield, EC1A 7BE  -  every Thursday from 1pm to 4pm
  • Portsoken Health Centre, 14-16 Little Somerset Street, E1 8AH – every Friday from 11am to 2.30pm

Drop-in clinics are free and confidential and offer quitters weekly support, stop smoking medication and carbon monoxide monitoring.  No appointment needed.  For further information visit Smokefree City and Hackney, email smokers-clinic@qmul.ac.uk or call free on 0800 169 1943.
